Welfare

KMGA training — guides on snowfield during technical training session

Mountain work is inherently hazardous. KMGA's welfare program exists to ensure that no guide, porter, or high-altitude worker is left without support in the event of accident, illness, or death. We advocate for mandatory insurance, fair compensation, and accessible welfare funds for all members.

Through partnerships with government bodies and international mountaineering organisations, KMGA is building a welfare system that provides real protection for Pakistan's mountain professionals and their families.

  • Advocacy for mandatory accident and death insurance coverage
  • Welfare fund for members facing financial hardship
  • Support for families of guides killed or injured in the mountains
  • Legal assistance and dispute resolution with expedition operators
  • Medical assistance and evacuation coordination
